Removing the steering column switches
1. Set the front wheels of the vehicle to the straight ahead position.
2. Block the airbag processor.
3. Turn off the ignition.
4. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
5. Remove the driver's airbag module.
6. Remove the steering wheel (see chapter "Steering").
Attention: To avoid damage to the contact disk, do not rotate its moving part.
7. Remove the upper and lower steering column covers (see section "Removal and installation of the dashboard").
8. Loosen the bolts (1) mounting the contact disk.
9. Drive in a screwdriver to unlock the cone and loosen the steering column assembly.
Note:
- Before removing the steering column switch assembly, it is necessary to mark the installation position of the contact disk, fixing it from turning with electrical tape.
- During removal, the contact disk must be secured against rotation.
10. Having partially removed the steering column switches, disconnect their connectors.
11. To remove understeering switches in gathering from a steering column.
Installing paddle shifters
Attention:
- To avoid damage to the contact disk, do not rotate its moving part.
- Incorrect installation of the steering wheel can cause damage to the contact disc.
1. Make sure the vehicle's front wheels are in the straight ahead position.
Note:
- During installation, the contact disk must be fixed from turning.
- If the contact plate is replaced with a new one, the new part is delivered already centered, with a sticker that breaks when the steering wheel is turned for the first time (when installing, the front wheels of the car must be in the straight-ahead position).
2. Installation is made in an order, the return to removal.
3. Unlock the airbag processor.
4. Turn on the ignition.
5. Check the performance of the contact disk:
- turn the steering wheel all the way to the left;
- turn the steering wheel all the way to the right;
- return the steering wheel to the center position;
- make sure there are no malfunction indicators on the dashboard.
