Depending on the configuration, this vehicle is equipped with a keyless remote door opening system consisting of the following devices:
- central computer;
- uncoded reader (radio signal receiver and transponder);
- impulse button for starting and stopping the engine;
- steering column lock for mechanical steering wheel lock;
- electric motors for locking/unlocking opening elements;
- key cards with two or three (hands-free option) buttons;
- two special receiving antennas for the key card with "hands-free" function (depending on the option);
- external door handles specifically for the hands-free function depending on the version):
- interior door locks specifically for the locking function (depending on the version).

Two RENAULT cards are assigned to the car at the factory. 8 Depending on the equipment level, the car can be equipped with:
- two RENAULT cards with two buttons (without the "hands-free" system), including a coded electronic unit that operates without a power source to control the engine start blocking system:
- remote radio control for activating locking or unlocking of opening elements;
- two RENAULT cards, one of which is equipped with the "hands-free" system (three buttons). This system allows the opening elements to be opened without using the remote control. (It is not possible to equip the vehicle with several remote controls with the hands-free system. See chapter RENAULT "Hands-Free" Card).
The radio code used in RENAULT maps is constantly changing to avoid possible copying.
With this system, resynchronization of remote controls occurs automatically.
The remote control function is used exclusively for unlocking and locking opening elements (it is not connected in any way with the engine start interlock system).
Note: The central computer can control four different codes (maximum 4 RENAULT cards).

Note: The safety key, which allows you to open the car in case of failure of the remote control, is built into each RENAULT card (To use the security key you must have a security number).
If the battery charge is insufficient, it is impossible to unlock the steering column lock. Starting the engine of a thicker car is also impossible.
Transponder for anti-theft engine immobilizer system
The transponder of the engine start blocking system, built into the RENAULT card, makes it possible to unlock the steering column, turn on the ignition and allow the engine to start.
The receiver built into the reader recognizes whether a RENAULT card is inserted into it.
