Windshield wiper gear motor replacement (Renault Logan 1)

Disassembling the wiper gear motor is not practical, as spare parts are not supplied for it. Only the complete gear motor can be replaced.

You will need: keys "10", "13" and "24", a screwdriver with a flat blade.

1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

3. ...and unscrew the windshield wiper arm mounting nut.

4. Remove the wiper arm.



5. Remove the second lever in the same way.

7. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the gear motor.

8. Remove the plastic cap...

9. ...unscrew the left nut securing the windshield wiper to the car body...

10. ...and remove the nut and washer.

11. Similarly, unscrew the right mounting nut.

12. Unscrew the mounting bolt...

13. ...and remove the windshield wiper assembly.

14. Mark the position of the crank relative to the bracket...

15. ...and unscrew the crank mounting nut.

16. Remove the crank from the shaft splines.

17. Press the lock with a screwdriver...

18. ...and disconnect the gearmotor wiring harness connector from the bracket.

19. Unscrew the three bolts securing the gear motor to the bracket...

20. ...and remove the gear motor.

21. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
