Removal



All models except Scenic



1. Remove the battery.

2. Working through the battery opening, disconnect the wiring connector from the wiper motor.

2. Working through the battery opening, disconnect the wiring connector from the wiper motor.


3. Mark the positions of the motor shaft and crank, then remove the mounting nut and washer. Disconnect the wiper link from the motor shaft. Remove the motor mounting bolts and remove the motor from the vehicle (refer to the accompanying illustration).

Scenic Models



1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

2. Remove the sealing strip on the top of the engine compartment bulkhead.

3. Loosen the mounting screws and remove the two ventilation panels.

4. Loosen the mounting bolts and lift the removable part of the bulkhead panel located in front of the windshield wiper mechanism.

5. Disconnect the wiring connector from the wiper motor.

5. Disconnect the wiring connector from the wiper motor.


6. Mark the positions of the motor shaft and crank, then remove the mounting nut and washer. Disconnect the wiper linkage from the motor shaft. Remove the motor mounting bolts and remove the motor from the vehicle.



Installation



Installation


1a. Reinstall the motor.

1b. Tighten the mounting bolts securely.

2. Align the crank with the motor shaft and tighten the axle nut securely.

3a. Connect the motor wiring connector.

3c. On Scenic models, install the air intake box panel and vent panel components.
