Removal and installation
1. Working in the engine compartment, remove the mounting nut/screw (where available) and remove the filler neck of the washer reservoir.
2. Engage the handbrake, then jack up the front of the vehicle and place it on axle stands. Remove the right front wheel, then remove the mounting screws and remove the wheel arch liner.
3. Release the mounting brackets and disconnect the hoses from the washer pump connector (where available). Where there are multiple hoses, mark their installation.
4. Follow the wiring from the washer pump to the connector and disconnect it from the main harness.
5. Loosen the fixing nut on the front of the tank, then remove it.
6. Install in reverse order.
Washer pump
1. Remove the reservoir as described earlier in this Section.
2. Gently pull the pump out of the reservoir and remove the O-ring. Rinse spilled liquid with cold water.
3. Install in reverse order. At installation use a new sealing ring.
Washer fluid level switch
1. To access the level switch (where available), engage the handbrake, then jack up the front of the vehicle and place it on axle stands. Remove the front wheel, then remove the mounting screws and remove the wheel arch liner.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the level switch and carefully remove it from the tank. Remove the O-ring and wash off spilled fluid with cold water.
3. Install in reverse order. At installation use a new sealing ring.
Windshield washer nozzle
1. To gain access to the washer nozzles, open the hood, then carefully wring out the mounting brackets with a screwdriver and bend the noise-absorbing gasket on the hood cover. Disconnect the washer hoses from the appropriate nozzle, then press the mounting brackets and carefully remove the nozzle from the hood.
2. When installing, securely connect the nozzle to the hose and push it into the hood. Check the function of the nozzle.
Tailgate washer nozzle
1. Open the rear door opening up and separate the seal from the door opening.
2. Press the locking tabs and slide the back of the ceiling off the mounting brackets.
3. Press the covers against the rear door hinges with a screwdriver, then carefully bend the ceiling.
4. Turn away a fixing nut, then remove a washer nozzle and consolidation from a roof, having disconnected a hose.
5. Install in reverse order.
