Removal



1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery, then remove the wiper arm as described in Section Removal and installation the windshield wiper arm.

3c. Then unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the motor from the rear door. Remove the rubber universal ring from the rear door (refer to the illustrations).

4. On Coupe models, open the trunk lid and disconnect the wiring connector from the motor. Remove the mounting bolts and remove the wiper motor from the vehicle (refer to the accompanying illustration). Remove the rubber sealing ring from the trunk lid.

5. On Scenic models, open the rear door and remove the four bolts securing the rear door trim panel. Release the retaining clips and remove the trim panel.

6. Disconnect the electrical connector from the motor, then unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the motor. Remove the rubber sealing ring from the rear door.

Installation



Installation


1. Install in reverse order. Before installing, inspect the sealing ring for damage and replace it if necessary (refer to the accompanying illustration).
