Attention! The procedure for removing and installing the electric motor is given using the example of models with a tailgate. The tailgate of SCENIC cars and the wiper motor have a different appearance, but the removal procedure is the same as for all models with a tailgate.
Removal
1. Remove the brush holder.
2. Unscrew the screws A securing the rear door interior trim and, using a wedge to pry the trim off, release it from the clips (see illustration).

3. Cars with a "coupe" body and SCENIC. Remove the cap B, unscrew the nut C, remove the bushing D and the gasket E (see illustration).

Please note: SCENIC vehicles have a different electric motor.
4. Disconnect the multi-pin plug A (see illustration).

5. Disconnect the electric motor together with the mounting bracket by unscrewing the bolts B (see illustration 43.4).
Please note! SCENIC vehicles have bracket mounting bolts positioned differently.
Installation
6. Connect the multi-pin plug.
7. Secure the wiper motor and connect the plug.
8. Coupe and SCENIC vehicles: Install the bushing and sealing gasket.
9. Screw on the nut and put on the cap (see illustration 43.3).
10. If you are installing a new wiper motor, connect the ground (-) wire terminal to the negative battery terminal. This is necessary to start the motor and reset it to its original position.
11. Install the brush holder.
12. Replace the rear hatch trim.
13. Connect the negative (-) battery terminal to the negative battery terminal.
14. Set the clock and program the radio.
