Depending on the direction of rotation of the pump, the detergent is supplied either to the windshield or to the rear. To change the direction of rotation of the pump, the polarity of the pump electric motor is reversed.
Removal
1. Remove the right wheel arch protection.
2. Open the hood and unscrew bolt D securing the filler pipe (see illustration).

3. Disconnect the power supply wire from the wheel arch side and unscrew the mounting bolt E (see illustration).

4. Use a marker to mark the hoses on the fittings so that you can install them correctly later.
5. Disconnect the hoses from the washer pump.
6. Disconnect the plug from the washer pump. The washer pump is located in the washer reservoir.
7. Pull the pump at a slight angle to the side and remove it from the tank.
Installation
8. Install the pump into the washer reservoir.
9. Connect the hoses to the pump nozzles, following the markings, and secure them with clamps.
10. Connect the multi-pin plug.
11. Place the washer reservoir back in place and secure with the bolt.
12. Secure the filler neck of the tank.
13. Install the wheel arch protection in place.
SCENIC cars
Removal and installation of the washer reservoir in SCENIC cars is performed in the same way as in other models. However, the reservoir is secured with a nut.
14. Unscrew nut O and remove the tank (see illustration).
