1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Remove the electric fan of the engine cooling system (see "Removal and installation of the electric fan of the radiator of the engine cooling system").
3. Pry it up with a screwdriver, move it forward...
4. ...and remove the impeller retainer.
5. Remove the electric fan impeller.
6. If the new motor does not have an impeller support plate installed, press it off the shaft of the old motor and install it on the new one.
7. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
Note: When installing the impeller on the electric motor, make sure that...
...so that the impeller projections match...
...and the holes of the support plate.
