Removal and installation of the electronic control unit of the passive safety system (Renault Logan 1)

You will need: all the tools necessary to remove the field tunnel lining, and a 10 mm spanner.

1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Remove the floor tunnel lining (see "Removal and installation of floor tunnel lining").

3. Remove the lower instrument panel trim (see "Removing and installing the instrument panel").

4. Fold back the lock of the electronic control unit wiring harness connector...

5. ...and disconnect the connector from the block.

6. Unscrew the three bolts securing the control unit to the body base and remove the unit.

Note: Pay attention to the marking of the control unit; for replacement, purchase a unit with the same marking.


7. Install the electronic control unit of the passive restraint system and all removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
