Removal and installation of the electronic control unit of the passive safety system (Renault Sandero 1)

You will need: all the tools necessary to remove the field tunnel lining, as well as a 10 mm spanner.

1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.



2. Remove the floor tunnel lining (see "Removal and installation the floor tunnel lining").



3. Remove the lower instrument panel trim (see "Removal and installation the instrument panel").



4. Fold back the lock of the electronic unit wiring harness connector...





5. ...and disconnect the connector from the block.



6. Unscrew the three bolts securing the control unit to the body base and remove the unit.

7. Install the electronic control unit of the passive restraint system and all removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
