Note: The front seat belt replacement is shown using the driver's seat belt as an example. The front passenger seat belt is replaced in the same way.
You will need: TORX keys T20, T40, "16", "17".
1. If the seat belts are equipped with pretensioners, disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.
Warnings:
- The following operations for removing the front seat belt can be started only after the activator capacitor has been completely discharged. To discharge the capacitor, it is necessary to wait at least 10 seconds after disconnecting the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.
- Disassembling seat belt pretensioners is prohibited.
- Do not allow oil or water to enter the seat belt reels.
- Do not expose seat belt pretensioners to temperatures above 95°C.
2. Remove the decorative cap from the lower belt mounting bolt...
3. ...and unscrew the bolt.
Warning: The belt mounting bolts contain washers and spacers, do not lose them.
4. Remove the two screws securing the lower B-pillar trim.
5. Remove the decorative buckle cover...
6. ...and unscrew the upper belt fastening bolt.
7. Remove the screw securing the upper B-pillar trim.
8. Move the trim away from the pillar, overcoming the force of the clamps, pass the upper belt mounting bracket through its opening...
9. ...belt buckle tongue...
10. ...the lower belt mount bracket and remove the pillar trim.
11. Unscrew the inertia reel mounting bolt...
12. ...and remove the coil from the cavity in the body pillar.
13. Loosen the bolt securing the front seat belt buckle to the seat rail...
14. ...unscrew the bolt...
15. ... remove the bent tab of the lock body from the rectangular hole in the slide..
16. ...and remove the lock by pulling it out of the slot in the seat cushion upholstery.
17. Replace the seat belt if necessary.
18. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
