Attention! On models equipped with a seat belt tensioning system, before starting work, read the materials of Section Removal and installation of seats.
Sedan and hatchback models
1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
2. In order to ensure sufficient free space, remove the corresponding front seat (see Section Removal and installation of seats).
3. Using a flat-blade screwdriver, pry apart the inner and outer sections of the upper seat belt anchor height adjustment lever button by releasing the button from the clips (refer to accompanying illustration).
4a. Release the fasteners.
4b. Then unscrew the fixing bolt of the upper anchor support and separate the seat belt from the door pillar (refer to illustrations).
5. Release the front and rear sealing strips from the central pillar of the door.
6. Release the fasteners of the decorative trim panel of the B-pillar (move from top to bottom). Remove the panel (refer to accompanying illustration).
7. Remove the decorative cover, then unscrew the bolt of the lower seat belt anchor (refer to accompanying illustration).
8. Carefully release the front of the rear door sill trim panel from the clips to provide access to the rear mounting screw. If necessary, raise the rear seat cushion and remove the fixing screw, allowing a more complete separation of the panel (refer to accompanying illustration).
9a. Remove the rear fixing screw.
9b. Remove the top fixing screw.
9c. Starting at the rear and moving forward, disengage and remove the pillar/sill trim panel. Release the belt from the panel and remove the latter from the car (refer to illustrations).
10. Turn out a bolt of fastening of an inertial drum of the returnable device and remove assembly of a seat belt from the car.
11. If necessary, the mechanism for adjusting the height of the position of the upper anchor can be removed after releasing its fixing bolts.
Coupe models
1. Remove the back seat (see Section Removal and installation of seats) and slide forward until it stops front.
2a. Remove the decorative cover of the lower seat belt anchor bolt. Turn out a bolt.
2b. Separate the bracket from the body panel and release it from the seat belt loop (refer to illustrations).
3. Remove the rear seat belt lower anchor bolt, then release the belt from the trim panel (refer to accompanying illustration).
4. Release the sealing strip from the car's rear door opening.
5a. Turn out fixing screws.
5b. Release the lower section of the rear seat side trim panel from the latches and remove it from the vehicle (refer to accompanying illustration).
6. Insert a flat-blade screwdriver between the inner and outer sections of the height adjustment lever button of the upper seat belt anchor (refer to accompanying illustration). After splitting the sections, remove the button.
7. Remove the decorative cover, then turn out the fixing bolt and disconnect the seat belt from the upper anchor support (refer to accompanying illustration).
8. Working from top to bottom, release the latches securing the rack trim panel and remove the panel (refer to accompanying illustration).
9. Remove the rear pillar trim (see below).
10. Unscrew the locking pin for fixing the rear seat backrest from the side wall of the car (refer to accompanying illustration).
11. Open the rear side window, then remove the screw that secures the actuating rod to the electric motor for opening the glass (refer to accompanying illustration). Carefully release the traction rod from the spindle.
12a. Loosen the fixing screws
12b. Release the clips and remove the side trim panel by passing the front seat belt webbing through it (refer to illustrations).
13. Give nuts of fastening of an inertial drum of the returnable device and remove a seat belt from the car (refer to accompanying illustration).
Installation
1. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Follow the correct fastening of the assemblies of the inertial drums of the return devices on the body panels of the car, as well as the reliability of tightening the fasteners. Evaluate the reliability of fastening with your screws and retainers for trim panels and covers.
