- Place the required amount of lubricant in the corrugated cover and distribute it evenly over the cover.
Note. The amount of lubricant added must strictly correspond to that specified in the chapter «Technical data».
- Insert a smooth rod with a rounded end between the elastic bellows and the drive shaft to release «excess» air from the case.
- Move the hinge body along the shaft so as to obtain dimension A = 156±1 mm between the area of the largest diameter of the machined surface of the hinge body and the end of the protective cover (pic. 8.9).
Pic. 8.9. Measuring the distance between the end of the hinge body and the end of the protective cover: A = 156±1 mm
- Install a large clamp and crimp it with special OETIKER pliers.
- With a special device Rou. 604-01, block the hub from turning, screw in and tighten to the required torque the nut securing the drive shaft to the hub.
- Install the floating brake caliper bracket.
- Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
- Tighten all nuts to the required torque.
- Correctly position and secure the anti-lock brake system and brake pad wear warning lamp wiring.
- Pour transmission oil into the gearbox housing or add oil to the required level.
- Place the car on the wheels and remove the protective packaging of the elastic corrugated protective cover from the wheel side. Do not use tools with sharp edges, which could damage the bellows.
- Press the brake pedal several times to press the brake pads against the brake rotor.
