Sequence of connecting wires when starting the engine with a discharged battery
Park the car with the charged battery as close to your car as possible so that the batteries are practically next to each other, but do not allow the cars to touch. Turn off all unnecessary electrical consumers.
First, connect one end of the wire to the positive terminal of the dead battery, then the other end of the same wire to the positive terminal of the booster battery. Next, connect one end of the second wire to the negative terminal of the booster battery, and then the other end to the "ground", a stationary metal point (for example, to the engine support). Do not connect the cable from the negative terminal of the booster battery to the negative terminal of the discharged battery.
Caution: Connect the wires to the booster battery in such a way as to avoid sparking.
Run the auxiliary vehicle engine at high speed to allow the alternator to generate voltage. If the engine does not start immediately, allow the starter to cool down. Then run the auxiliary vehicle engine, which will charge the discharged battery a little.
When removing the jumper cables, first disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the charged jumper battery.
Note: There is a risk of poisoning when operating the engine in a closed room!
