On a car with a manual transmission, when starting the engine, press the clutch pedal - the starter should only rotate the engine crankshaft.
Attention. If the engine cannot be started by the starter, do not tow or push the engine to avoid damage to the catalytic converter.
Cars with diesel engines
Turn the ignition key to position "3" (ignition) and hold it in that position until the engine preheating warning light goes off and the message appears "OK" on the multifunction screen.
Engine preheating time increases as engine temperature decreases.
Turn the key to position «4» (launch) and start the engine with the starter for no more than 10 seconds. On a vehicle with a manual transmission, press the clutch pedal when starting the engine. Once the engine starts running steadily, slowly release the clutch pedal.
If the engine starts after the fuel has been completely exhausted, refuel the car and start it with the starter; if after several attempts the engine does not start, remove air from the fuel system and start the engine with the starter.
