Turn the ignition key to position "3" (ignition) and hold it in that position until the engine preheating indicator lamp goes out and the message "OK" appears on the multifunction display.
The engine preheating time increases as the engine temperature decreases.

Turn the key to position "4" (start) and crank the engine for no more than 10 seconds. On a vehicle with a manual transmission, press the clutch pedal while starting the engine. Once the engine starts running steadily, slowly release the clutch pedal.
If the engine starts after running out of fuel, refuel the car and start it with the starter; if after several attempts the engine does not start, remove air from the fuel system and start the engine with the starter.
