Obtain appropriate heavy-gauge electrical wires from a Renault dealer. If such wires are already present, check that they are in good condition.
Both batteries must have the same nominal voltage of 12 V. Capacity (Ah) The charged battery should be no less than the discharged one.
If the electrolyte in the battery is frozen, thaw it before charging the battery.
Also make sure that both vehicles do not have electrical contact between them (due to the possibility of a short circuit when connecting the positive terminals) and the discharged battery is properly connected. Turn off the ignition on the car.
Start the engine of the charging vehicle and leave it running at medium engine speed.
Pic. 1.113. Scheme for connecting an additional battery: 1 - positive terminal of a discharged battery; 2 - positive output of the additional battery; 3 - negative output of the additional battery; 5 - negative terminal of a discharged battery; A - positive wire; B - negative wire
Connect positive (+) wire A to output (+) 1 low battery and then to the output (+) 2 charged batteries (pic. 1.113).
Connect the negative wire (–) To the conclusion (–) 3 charged batteries and then to the conclusion (–) 4 dead batteries.
Make sure that the connecting wires A and B do not have a contact, and positive (+) wire A is not in contact with any metal parts of the vehicle with the battery charged.
Start your car's engine, then disconnect wires A and B in reverse order (4–3–2–1).
