Also, when towing your vehicle, be sure to comply with local traffic regulations and applicable towing weight restrictions. On this issue, contact a Renault service station.
Pic. 1.117. Front towing eye
To tow the vehicle, only the front and rear towing eye attachment points may be used (it is strictly forbidden to use other parts of the car for fastening) (pic. 1.117). The eyelets are for towing only; never use them directly or indirectly to lift the vehicle.

Detach covers (pic. 1.118).
Screw in the towing eye as far as it will go: first by turning it all the way in by hand and then by tightening it with the wheelbrace.
The towing eye and the wheel wrench are located in the tool kit under the luggage compartment carpet.
Towing procedure
Before towing, make sure the steering column is unlocked.
Otherwise, insert the Renault card into the reader and hold down the engine start button for five seconds («start/stop»), without pressing the pedals. The column will be unlocked and power will be supplied to the auxiliary equipment of the car.
After towing is completed, press the engine start button twice («start/stop») to avoid discharging the battery.
Towing a car with an automatic transmission
When the engine is off, the automatic transmission lubrication system does not work, so you should transport the car on a tow truck cargo platform or tow it with the front wheels hung out.
In exceptional cases, the vehicle can be towed using the towing eye for a distance of up to 50 km.
Attention! If the selector is locked in position P, with the brake pedal depressed, it can be released manually.
To do this, detach the upper part of the cover at the base of the lever.
Simultaneously press in the place indicated by the mark on the cover and on the release button on the lever.
