4 cylinder engines
1. The camshaft seal can be changed with the engine installed on the vehicle.
2. Remove the power steering pump and water pump drive belts.
3. Jack up the front wheel and shift into gear.
4. Have an assistant turn the wheel until the mark on the flywheel aligns with the mark «0» on the clutch housing, and marks on the crankshaft sprocket with a mark in the camshaft drive cover.
5. Remove the drive cover.
6. If necessary, partially drain the coolant to block the intake manifold hose.
7. Make sure once again that the alignment marks are aligned, and remove the toothed drive belt, as already described.
8. Block the camshaft sprocket and unscrew the mounting bolt. Remove the sprocket and pull out the key with wire cutters.
9. If you use a special puller, put it on the stuffing box, grab the stuffing box and unscrew the fastening bolt through the puller. Without using a puller, a self-tapping screw can be screwed into the stuffing box and pulled out with pliers, a screwdriver or other suitable tool.
10. Check up, whether sealing edge densely adjoins to a working surface of a cam-shaft. If not, push the gland 1.5mm deeper to seat the sealing lip on the new work surface.
11. Lubricate the outside of the new oil seal with engine oil and fit it with a puller. It can remain on the outside of the oil seal while the bolt is screwed into the camshaft (see illustration).
21.11 Fitting the camshaft oil seal with the special tool (4 cylinder engine)
12. Make sure that the crankshaft, camshaft and intermediate chamber are correctly installed, and put on the toothed drive belt, as described in the previous chapter.

13. To remove the oil seal from the camshaft, use a special puller. Removal and installation are carried out as described for 4-cylinder engines. Remove the power steering pump drive mechanism.
