1. Loosen the wheel bolts and driveshaft nut while the vehicle is still on its wheels. Then jack up the front of the car and secure it on axle stands. Remove the wheel on the corresponding side.
2. Remove the disc brake caliper without bending the hose. Secure the disc with wire so that it does not hang from the hose.
3. Turn away a nut of a half shaft and remove a disk. The wheel hub and brake disc are assembled together. First remove both brake disc bolts with a hex wrench. Remove the wheel hub with a suitable puller. For these purposes, you can also use a mallet.
4. If an anti-lock braking system is installed (ABS), disconnect and remove the wheel speed sensor.
5. Remove the nut and separate the connection with a puller designed for this (see illustration 12.2). Knock out the ball head bolts and remove the steering knuckle. Do not pull out the drive shaft while doing this. If it is necessary to separate the shaft, use a puller.
