Throttle control cable is fixed with a clamping device (arrow) on the spherical head of the throttle lever of the high pressure fuel pump. After installing the throttle control cable (4) must be adjusted, for which the corrugated end of the cable (3) must be so pulled out of the prop (1), so that the throttle lever rests against the full load stop screw. Tighten the safety clip in this position (2). Numeric «5» labeled membrane box «quick» idle on the Roto high pressure fuel pump.
The cable between the accelerator pedal and the high pressure fuel pump is very susceptible to breakage. A clear sign of a damaged throttle cable is heavy throttle travel.
Removing the throttle cable
1. Remove the throttle control cable from the gas pedal by pushing back the safety clip.
2. Remove the throttle cable from the high pressure fuel pump throttle lever (injection pump) and remove it from the support bracket by loosening the safety clip.
3. Pull the throttle cable through the front wall of the engine compartment.
Throttle cable installation
1. Ask an assistant to press the gas pedal.
2. Move the injection pump throttle lever by pulling on the adjuster until it contacts the full load limiter.
3. After moving the safety clip, re-insert the cable into the ratchet stop.
4. Control: with the gas pedal fully depressed, the injection pump lever should abut directly against the limiter without tension.
In the event of a malfunction, the micro switch on the throttle lever and the electromagnetic switch must be checked for electrical continuity (1). Then check the connection of the low pressure hoses (2) and valve performance (3), (4) — gas recirculation pipeline.
Thermostat (2) coolant pipe (1) must maintain vacuum at t=20°C. Reduced pressure pipelines (3) must be fastened tightly at the joints. Further: when the reduced pressure pipeline is removed from the recirculation valve, the valve should knock, the idle speed should change within 2-3 seconds. Otherwise, the valve diaphragm is defective or stuck.
