Removal
1. To improve access, remove the air filter, see Chapter 2.
2. While working in the engine compartment, manually turn the throttle sector to release the cable tension. Disconnect the cable from the lever.
3. Remove the cable housing and sealing ring from the bracket.

4. Working inside the vehicle, disconnect the cable from the gas pedal by squeezing the locking tabs on the cable end.
5. Pass the cable into the engine compartment and remove it.
Installation
6. Install in reverse order. Adjust the cable as follows.

7. With the pedal released, check that the cable has a slight slack on the throttle lever at the limiter. Have an assistant press the accelerator pedal all the way down, then make sure the throttle valve is in the fully open position. If adjustment is necessary, remove the spring clip from the adjustment bezel, move the bezel in the desired direction, and then insert the clip into the nearest free groove.
