Caution! The accelerator cable is very sensitive to bending and therefore must be handled with great care during installation. A single minor bend in the cable may later result in it breaking while driving. For this reason, it is not recommended to install the cable if it has been bent during handling.
Attention! Vehicles with a diesel engine F9Q do not have an accelerator cable. The position of the accelerator pedal is detected by a potentiometer, which sends a corresponding signal to the engine control unit or the fuel injection pump.
Removal
1. Move the throttle lever by hand (for diesel engines F8Q/F8Q with turbocharging, the fuel injection pump lever) until it stops in the "Full throttle" position.
2. Remove end 1 of the accelerator cable through the splined hole on the throttle segment (see illustration).
5.2 Remove end 1 of the accelerator cable through the splined hole on the throttle segment.
4 - locking clamp
3. Remove the accelerator cable 2 through the hole 3 on the holder and squeeze out the rubber cable sheath (see illustration 5.2).

4. Release the accelerator cable from the guides in the engine compartment.
Attention! It is recommended to mark the places of its attachment in the guide clamps with paint to facilitate subsequent installation of the cable. When installing a new cable, these marks should be transferred to it from the removed one.
5. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the gas pedal and pull the cable into the engine compartment by pressing out the bushing on the dividing wall.
Installation
6. Pass the end of the accelerator cable that attaches to the gas pedal through the hole in the partition wall, working from the engine compartment, and secure the cable to the pedal.
7. Insert the rubber bushing into the hole on the partition wall and make sure it fits securely.
8. Place the accelerator cable in the engine compartment, following the marks, and secure it in the holders.
9. Place the sheath on the cable.
10. Secure the cable to the support by inserting it into the hole. Insert the rubber bushing into the same hole and secure the sheath.
11. Move the throttle lever by hand (for diesel engines F8Q/F8Q with turbocharging, the fuel injection pump lever) until it stops in the "Full throttle" position.
12. Insert the end of the cable into the slot on the throttle segment and slowly release the throttle lever. Place the cable as follows on the throttle segment.
13. Secure the accelerator cable with the locking clamp 4 in the same place as the removed cable was secured (see illustration 5.2).
14. Check the accelerator cable tension.
Adjustment
15. Ask an assistant to fully depress the accelerator pedal.
16. Adjust the cable tension using the locking clamp 4 on the support bracket 3 so that the throttle lever (for turbocharged F8Q/F8Q diesel engines, the fuel injection pump lever) in the "Full throttle" pedal position it only touched the stop (see illustration).
5.16 Adjust the cable tension using the locking clamp 4 on the support bracket 3 so that the throttle lever (for turbocharged F8Q/F8Q diesel engines, the fuel injection pump lever) in the "Full throttle" pedal position it only touched the stop. The illustration shows a 1.4-liter engine
17. Press the throttle lever with your hand (for turbocharged F8Q/F8Q diesel engines, the fuel injection pump lever) until it stops in the "Full throttle" position. There should be a small gap between the stop and the throttle lever, not exceeding 1 mm.
