Removal the upper timing belt cover
1. 1.7/1.8 liter engine: unscrew 3 bolts (2 left, 1 right) and remove the protective cover.
2. 16-valve engine: unscrew 3 bolts on the left and right sides of the casing and one bolt at the top between the two camshaft sprockets.
3. Diesel: remove the fuel injection pump timing belt pulley cover (2 bolts).
4. Unscrew 3 bolts on the toothed drive belt cover (2 left, 1 right) and 2 bolts in the joint with the lower toothed belt cover and remove the cover.
5. All engine types: when installing the toothed belt cover, make sure it is installed correctly. Don't forget about the spacers (depending on the engine type).
