Tightening torques, Nm
- Intake manifold mounting bolt - 25±02
- Exhaust manifold mounting bolt - 25±02
- Bolt of fastening of a reception pipe to a final collector — 20±02
Manifolds and throttle body (K7J engine). 1 - Air filter housing, 2 - Throttle valve assembly, 3 - Throttle valve potentiometer, 4 - Intake manifold. 5 - Exhaust manifold.
Removing the intake manifold
Place the car on a lift.
Disconnect the battery.
Remove the air filter housing.
Disconnect:
- throttle potentiometer (1);
- idle control valve (2);
- throttle control rod (3);
- air temperature sensor (4);
- pressure meter (5);
- nozzles (6);
- fuel pressure control (depending on the model) (7);
- supply and return fuel pipeline (depending on the model) (8).
Remove:
- a throttle valve unit including a throttle valve potentiometer and an idle air control valve;
- fuel rail with injectors and regulator (depending on the model);
- upper intake manifold bolts:
- intake manifold support;
- intake manifold lower bolts (from the bottom of the car).
Intake manifold installation
Consider replacing the manifold and throttle body seals, if necessary.
Insert the intake manifold lower bolts at the same time as installing the intake manifold to facilitate tightening. Then install the stay and top bolts.
Note. Observe the tightening torque of the intake manifold bolts.
Make sure the throttle body is installed correctly.
