1. Remove the air filter. Remove the air filter housing cover and take out the filter.
2. Check the air filter and make sure it is not damaged or has oil stains. Replace the air filter if necessary.
3. Install the air filter.

K4J Engine
1. Disconnect the battery.

2. Disconnect the brake booster hose from the intake manifold.
3. Disconnect the idle speed control actuator (1) (stepper motor).
4. Disconnect the fuel vapor recovery system tube (2).
5. Without disconnecting the hoses, move the coolant reservoir to the side.
6. Remove the air resonator.

7. Loosen the bolts (3) securing the air filter housing.
8. Remove the expansion tank.
9. Remove the air filter housing by moving it to the right (the filter can pass between the windshield opening, the engine and the brake booster).
10. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
- Filter mounting bolts - 9 Nm
Note: Be careful when handling the exhaust manifold and brake booster vacuum tube fittings. If the fittings break, you will have to replace the intake manifold.
