Check all external lights and horn. See the relevant Sections of the Chapter Onboard electrical equipment.
Visually inspect all electrical connectors, harnesses, and mounting brackets for a secure connection and any signs of fraying or damage.
1. If the control lamp, stop lamp or headlight does not light up, it is likely that the incandescent lamp has burnt out and must be replaced. Contact the Head Onboard electrical equipment. If both brake lights are off, the brake pedal switch may need to be repaired. This action is described in Chapter Brake system (refer to accompanying illustration).
2. If the lamps are faulty, also check the fuses (contact the head Onboard electrical equipment). Fuses are installed behind the glove box on the driver's side (refer to accompanying illustration).
3. Install a new fuse of the same rating. It is important to find the reason why the fuse has blown. The verification procedure is described in Chapter Onboard electrical equipment (refer to accompanying illustration).
