Removal
Front door glass - all models except Scenic
1. Lower the window glass approximately 3/4 of the way down, then disconnect the ground cable from the battery.
2. Remove the door trim panel as described in Section Removal and installation door trim panels.

3a. Remove the impact panel from the door.

3b. On the Coupe and Scenic models the panel is secured with screws, and on all others - with staples (refer to the illustrations).

4. On Hatchback and Sedan models, detach the inner window seal strip and remove it from the door (refer to the accompanying illustration). On Coupe models, disconnect the lower and rear portions of the weatherstrip; there is no need to remove the strip completely.

5a. Remove the window guide mounting bracket...

6a. Release the window glass from the window lifter.

6b. Then lower it slightly. Release the rear guide from the sealing strip.

6c. Then tilt the glass and pull it up (refer to the illustrations).
Sliding glass front door - Scenic models
1. Lower the window glass approximately 3/4 of the way down, then disconnect the ground cable from the battery
2. Remove the door trim panel as described in Section Removal and installation door trim panels.
3. Remove the shock absorbing panel from the door. It is attached with screws and brackets.
4. Carefully detach the inner window seal strip and remove it from the door.
5. Remove the window guide retaining bracket by sliding it away from the window regulator.
6. Unscrew the two bolts securing the rack (between sliding glass and fixed glass) to the door.
7. Release the window glass from the window regulator, then lower it down.
8. Remove the trim cover and the upper bolt securing the divider pillar. Lower the pillar down to release it from the upper mount. Rotate the pillar 90° and remove it from the door.
9. Release the rear guide from the sealing strip, then tilt the glass and pull it up.
Front door fixed glass - models - Scenic
1. Follow the steps described in the paragraphs for FRONT DOOR SLIDING GLASS - SCENIC MODELS.
2. Pull the window back to release the front of the window from the door frame. Remove the glass from the door.
Front door window lifter
1. Remove the window as described above, depending on the model.

2. On models with power windows, disconnect the wiring connector from the window motor (refer to the accompanying illustration).

3a. Loosen the fastening nuts and bolts of the window regulator and the lower glass support.

3b. Then release the assembly from the door and remove it through the door opening (refer to the illustrations).
Sliding rear door glass - hatchback and sedan models
1. Lower the window glass approximately 3/4 of the way down, then disconnect the ground cable from the battery.
2. Remove the door trim panel as described in Section Removal and installation door trim panels.

3. Carefully detach the inner window sealing strip and remove it from the door (refer to the accompanying illustration).

4. Loosen the bolts that secure the window glass to the window lifter, then release the glass and lower it all the way down (refer to the accompanying illustration).

5a. Remove the trim...

5b....to gain access to the top screw securing the rear window guide.

5c. Then unscrew the top and bottom screws.

5d. Release the divider post from the non-lowering glass, then release the glass and lower it all the way down (refer to the accompanying illustration).

6. Carefully remove the glass from the door (refer to the accompanying illustration).
Sliding rear door glass - Scenic models
1. Lower the window glass approximately 3/4 of the way down, then disconnect the ground cable from the battery.
2. Remove the door trim panel as described in Section Removal and installation door trim panels.
3. Unscrew the two bolts (upper and lower), securing the rear window guide to the door.
4. Detach the inner window seal strip and remove it from the door.
5. Remove the window guide retaining bracket by sliding it off the window lifter (refer to description above).
6. Release the window glass from the window regulator, then lower it down.
7. Remove the outer door weatherstrip as follows: Remove the emblem on the tailgate pillar. Starting at the front edge of the door, release the weatherstrip using a flat tool to reach the locating tab. When the weatherstrip reaches the point where it contacts the tailgate pillar, lift it up to release the locating tab, then pull the weatherstrip forward to release the rear locating pin.
8. Remove the side glass guide by pulling it upwards.
9. Apply strips of wide masking tape to the two vertical door posts to protect them when removing the glass.
10. Carefully remove the glass from the door.
Fixed rear door glass - models - hatchback and sedan
1. Remove the sliding glass as described above.
2. Slide the glass forward and remove it from the vehicle.
Rear side window - coupe models
1. Open the window, then loosen the fastening screw and release the opening mechanism from the motor shaft.
2. Remove the screw securing the opening mechanism to the window, then remove the washers and end caps from the window, marking their correct installation.
3. Have an assistant support the window, then remove the screws securing the front edge of the window to the hinges. Remove the spacers, rubber cushions and end caps, noting their correct installation.
Rear side window - Scenic models
1. The rear side windows on Scenic models are installed with special glue.
Rear Door Window Regulator - Hatchback and Saloon Models
1. Remove the sliding glass as described in the paragraphs above.
2. On models with power windows, disconnect the wiring connector from the window motor.

3. Loosen the window regulator mounting bolts, then release the assembly from the door and remove it through the door opening (refer to the accompanying illustration).
Rear Door Window Regulator - Scenic Models
1. Lower the window glass approximately 3/4 of the way down, then disconnect the ground cable from the battery.
2. Remove the door trim panel as described in Section Removal and installation door trim panels.
3. Carefully detach the inner window sealing strip and remove it from the door.
4. Remove the window guide retaining bracket by sliding it off the window lifter (refer to description above).
5. Release the window glass from the window lifter and move it to the closed position. Tape the glass to the door frame.
6. On models with power windows, disconnect the wiring connector from the window motor.
7. Remove the window regulator and lower glass support mounting nuts/bolts, then release the assembly from the door and remove it through the door opening.
Installation
Sliding Front Door Glass - All Models
1. Install in reverse order. Before installing the trim panel, check the window for proper operation.
Fixed front door glass - Scenic models
1. Install in reverse order. Before installing the trim panel, check the window for proper operation.
Front Door Window Regulator - All Models
1. Install in reverse order. Before installing the trim panel, check the window for proper operation.
Sliding rear door glass - hatchback and sedan models

1. Install in reverse order. Before installing the trim panel, adjust the position of the window glass. Loosen the mounting bolts, then lift the window fully and tighten them securely (refer to the accompanying illustration).
Sliding rear door glass - Scenic models
1. Install in reverse order. Before installing the trim panel, check the window for proper operation.
Fixed rear window - Hatchback and Sedan models
2. Install in reverse order, making sure the glass is correctly positioned in the sealing strip.
Rear side window - coupe models
1. Install in reverse order. Before installing the window screws, apply a few drops of adhesive compound to their threads.
Rear Door Window Regulator - All Models
1. Install in reverse order. Before installing the trim panel, check the window for proper operation.
