Removal



Front door glass - all models except Scenic



1. Lower the window glass approximately 3/4 of the way down, then disconnect the ground cable from the battery.

Sliding glass front door - Scenic models

7. Release the window glass from the window regulator, then lower it down.

8. Remove the trim cover and the upper bolt securing the divider pillar. Lower the pillar down to release it from the upper mount. Rotate the pillar 90° and remove it from the door.

9. Release the rear guide from the sealing strip, then tilt the glass and pull it up.

1. Follow the steps described in the paragraphs for FRONT DOOR SLIDING GLASS - SCENIC MODELS.

1. Lower the window glass approximately 3/4 of the way down, then disconnect the ground cable from the battery.

2. Remove the door trim panel as described in Section Removal and installation door trim panels.

3. Unscrew the two bolts (upper and lower), securing the rear window guide to the door.

4. Detach the inner window seal strip and remove it from the door.

5. Remove the window guide retaining bracket by sliding it off the window lifter (refer to description above).

6. Release the window glass from the window regulator, then lower it down.

7. Remove the outer door weatherstrip as follows: Remove the emblem on the tailgate pillar. Starting at the front edge of the door, release the weatherstrip using a flat tool to reach the locating tab. When the weatherstrip reaches the point where it contacts the tailgate pillar, lift it up to release the locating tab, then pull the weatherstrip forward to release the rear locating pin.

8. Remove the side glass guide by pulling it upwards.

9. Apply strips of wide masking tape to the two vertical door posts to protect them when removing the glass.

10. Carefully remove the glass from the door.

Fixed rear door glass - models - hatchback and sedan



1. Remove the sliding glass as described above.

2. Slide the glass forward and remove it from the vehicle.

Rear side window - coupe models



1. Open the window, then loosen the fastening screw and release the opening mechanism from the motor shaft.

2. Remove the screw securing the opening mechanism to the window, then remove the washers and end caps from the window, marking their correct installation.



3. Have an assistant support the window, then remove the screws securing the front edge of the window to the hinges. Remove the spacers, rubber cushions and end caps, noting their correct installation.

Rear side window - Scenic models



1. The rear side windows on Scenic models are installed with special glue.
