Note. If the hinge pins are tight in place, you will need a Renault 1055-02 special tool to remove them.
Removing
1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.
Attention! If the radio in your car is coded, make sure you know the code before disconnecting the battery.
2. Turn away a bolt of fastening of the limiter of a door (refer to accompanying illustration).
3. Lift the mounting bracket and disconnect the door wiring connector from the pillar (refer to accompanying illustration).
4. Remove the mounting brackets from the upper and lower hinge pins (refer to accompanying illustration).
5a. Have an assistant support the door, then gently knock the top hinge pin down (refer to illustrations).
5b. Drive the bottom pivot pin up (refer to illustrations).
6. Remove the door from the vehicle.
7. Inspect pivot pins and bushings for wear or damage and replace if necessary. It is recommended to use new pins during installation.
Installation
1. Lubricate the pins with multipurpose grease.
2. Replace the door and fully drive in the pins. Finally secure them with staples.
3. Connect the electrical connector to the rack and secure it with the bracket.
4. Screw the door stop to the post and tighten the bolt securely. Connect the ground cable to the battery.
