Caution: Observe precautions when handling refrigerant (see chapter "Air conditioning system").
Note: To remove the air conditioning compressor, a special station for draining and filling the air conditioning system is required.
Caution: To prevent atmospheric moisture from entering the air conditioning system circuit, it is necessary to immediately plug any openings in the air conditioning system components. Fuel line plugs can be used for this purpose (catalog numbers 7 701 208 229 or 7 701 476 857). The plugs must be clean. Do not use plugs that have already been used to plug fuel lines.
Removal
1. Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.
2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
3. Empty the air conditioning system circuit using a refrigerant charging station.
4. Remove the accessory drive belt.
5. Loosen the bolts (2) securing the compressor pipeline flanges.

6. Disconnect the pipelines from the compressor.
7. Seal the holes with plugs
8. Disconnect the compressor connector
9. Loosen the bolt (3) securing the pipeline support, as well as the bolts (4) securing the compressor.

10. Remove the air conditioning compressor from the engine.
Installation
Caution: To prevent leaks, ensure that all contact surfaces and piping are in good condition. Seals and contact surfaces must be clean and free of scratches.
1. Clean the refrigerant line seals.
2. Install the compressor and tighten the compressor and pipeline support mounting bolts.
3. Connect the compressor connector.
4. Connect the pipes to the air conditioner compressor and tighten the bolts.
5. Install the drive belt
6. Connect the negative battery terminal.
7. Fill the air conditioning system with refrigerant (see chapter "Air conditioning system").
8. In case of replacement, perform the adaptation procedure:
- turn on the ignition,
- make sure the air conditioning system is turned off.
- turn on ventilation at speed 2,
- set the temperature setting to minimum,
- select the air recirculation mode inside the car,
- start the engine,
- start the air conditioning system in manual mode (in the case of climate control, do not press the "AUTO" button),
- run the engine at idle speed for three minutes with the air conditioner off,
- turn off the engine.
9. Check the air conditioning system for leaks and ensure that it is functioning properly.
