1. Remove the engine pre-heating plugs.

2. Disconnect the fuel supply drive connector (3).

3. Using an open-end wrench, moderately tighten the hose tip and compression tester adapter.

4. Connect the independent starter.

5. Connect the diagnostic device and use it to run the following commands:
  • RZ003: "ADAPTATIF MOTOR" (autonomous starter)
  • VP036: "FUEL SUPPLY INHIBITION" (fuel cut-off).

6. Rotate the engine crankshaft with the starter for 15 seconds until the compression gauge needle stabilizes, and read the compression value.



7. Record the obtained compression value for this engine cylinder.

8. Similarly, measure the compression in the remaining engine cylinders

Note: The compression value in the engine cylinders must not be less than 18 bar.


9. Using the diagnostic tool, run the VP037 command "STOP FUEL SUPPLY INHIBITION" (stop fuel shutoff).

10. Disconnect the diagnostic tool and the independent starter.

11. Using an open-end wrench, disconnect the compression gauge from the connecting hose and the connecting hose from the engine (from the holes for the pre-heating plugs).

12. Install all removed components in the reverse order of removal.
