Removal and installation the oil pump (Renault Logan 1)

The oil pump is removed for repair when its supply decreases, causing a constant drop in oil pressure in the engine lubrication system.

You will need 10mm and 13mm socket heads.

1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Drain the oil from the engine oil pan (see "Changing engine oil and oil filter").

3. Remove the oil pan (see "Replacing the oil pan gasket").



4. Remove the two oil pump mounting bolts.



5. Lower the pump a little...

6. ... remove the chain from the sprocket and remove the pump.

7. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal. Tighten the oil pump mounting bolts to 25 N·m (2.5 kgf·m).
