Required special tool
- Mot. 1054 TDC lock.
- Mot. 1273 Belt tension gauge.
- Mot. 1355 Mandrel for installing the pump gasket.
- Mot. 1379 Device for fixing the engine on the subframe.
Tightening torques, Nm
- Crankshaft pulley bolt: 20 + 90°.
- Bolts of fastening to the engine of an arm of a forward right support of a pendulum suspension bracket: 62.
- Bolts of fastening to the body of the bracket of the front right support of the pendulum suspension: 62.
- Nut for fastening the tension roller of the timing belt: 50.
Removing
1. Remove:
- drive belt gas distribution mechanism (see section «Drive belt gas distribution mechanism»);
- oil level sensor using a special key for round nuts 19;
- oil dipstick;
- pulley and toothed pulley of the crankshaft;
- flywheel protective cover.
2. Lift the power unit using tool Mot. 1379
3. Remove the bolts attached to the oil pan.
4. Turn the oil pan at the rear of the vehicle so that the oil receiver can be thrown out of the jumper in the oil pan.
5. Remove:
- oil receiver;
- oil pump.
Attention! The oil pump is beyond repair.
6. Clean the mating surfaces without using sharp-edged tools to clean the surfaces of aluminum parts.
Installation
1. Always replace the oil passage gasket 3.
2. Apply a coat of Rhodorseal 5661 to the mating surface.
Attention! The oil pump is driven by two cams located on the crankshaft.
3. Install:
- oil pump to the engine, tighten the mounting bolts with a torque of 9 Nm;
- install a new oil seal on the crankshaft shank, being careful not to damage it when passing the splined area for the crankshaft sprocket.
4. Press in the oil seal using tool Mot. 1355.
5. Install the oil receiver with a new sealing ring.
6. Clean the mating surfaces (cylinder block, oil pan).
7. Install the oil pan. Tighten the bolts with a torque of 10 Nm.
8. Install:
- drive belt gas distribution mechanism (see section «Drive belt gas distribution mechanism»);
- new alternator drive belts and power steering pump.
