Removal

• Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.
• Loosen the exhaust system inlet pipe clamp (Fig. 2.7).

• Loosen the nuts securing the exhaust system inlet pipe to the front and rear cylinder head manifolds.
• Disconnect the wire from the oxygen concentration sensor.
• Unscrew the bolts securing the exhaust system inlet pipe in the area of the catalytic converter and remove the inlet pipe (Fig. 2 8).

• Unscrew 2 bolts and remove the oil filter heat shield
• Remove the oil dipstick tube mounting bolt
• Remove 3 bolts and starter heat shield
• Remove the heat shield bracket.
• Unscrew the 8 manifold mounting nuts and remove the exhaust manifold

Installation

• Install the manifold gaskets with the metal surface facing the manifold.
• When installing the exhaust pipe, first tighten the mounting nuts on the manifold (2. Fig. 2.7) and (3. Fig. 2.8). leaky clamp (1, Fig. 2.7), then make sure the seals are tight.
• Make sure that the thermal insulation screens are installed in place and securely fastened.
