Note. On models with F3R, F7R and F9Q engines, it is theoretically possible to remove the transmission separately from the engine. However, this is a very complex and time-consuming procedure. It is recommended to remove the power unit assembly (contact the head Engine repair), and then separate the transmission from the engine. On models with E7J and K7M engines, the latter method is the only possible one.
1. Remove assembly of the engine/transmission as it is described in the Head Engine repair.
2. Place the power unit on a workbench and separate the transmission as follows:
2a. a) Disconnect the engine and transmission tie down bracket/flywheel housing (where available).
2b. b) Remove the bolts and nuts securing the transmission to the engine, noting the location of all brackets.
With) With the help of an assistant, separate the transmission from the engine, making sure that the block does not hang on the input shaft.
2c. The upper bolts of the transmission to the engine.
2d. Rear nut securing the transmission to the engine.
