Removing
1. The intercooler is located on the left side of the engine compartment, behind the front bumper.
2. Remove a forward bumper as it is described in the Head Body.
3. Loosen the mounting clips, and disconnect the channel connecting the intercooler to the turbocharger and intake pipe (refer to accompanying illustration).
4. Working from the outside of the fender panel, remove the two bolts securing the intercooler bracket to the body panel. Where applicable, also remove the bracket fixing nut (refer to accompanying illustration).
5. Working on the inside of the intercooler, unscrew the bolt securing the clamp bar to the body panel and remove the clamp bar.
6. Push the intercooler up to release the upper mounting bracket from the sealing lip of the body panel (the bracket is visible from the engine compartment), then remove the intercooler with bracket from under the vehicle.
7. The intercooler can be removed from the bracket by unscrewing the two mounting bolts and removing the bottom of the bracket.
Installation
1. Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following.
- a) When installing the assembly, be careful not to damage the wiring harness installed below the wheel arch.
- b) Make sure the top mounting bracket is correctly installed on the body panel (so that the intercooler can be pushed up until the clip is in the sealing lip of the body panel).
- With) Make sure the inlet mounting clips are secure.
