Setting the static injection timing as described in this Chapter gives good results. It requires a dial micrometer, a probe and nozzle appropriate to the type of fuel pump, and dowel pins to accurately check the crankshaft position (refer to the accompanying illustration).

Note: Tool Mot. 1458 is for "MAA" toothed wheel and "HTD" toothed drive belt. If "HTD2" belt is installed, tool 1358 must be changed or use tool Mot. 1358-01
