Note: F9Q engines have a fuel temperature sensor that is connected to the fuel injection control unit. The sensor must be removed in an absolutely clean condition.
Removal
1. The sensor is located on the top of the fuel pump. Before removing it, clean the top thoroughly.
2. Place a cloth under the pump and on the generator.
3. Remove the three pump cover mounting bolts. To remove the 4th bolt, use the Bosch tool 0986 612 605. Remove the cover.
4. Loosen the two socket head cap screws and remove the sensor. Clean the electrical contacts of the sensor.
Installation
1. Install the sensor and tighten the bolts securely.

2. Clean the seal contact surface of the pump top and cover. Install the cover and bolts, then tighten them to the specified Specifications effort.
