2. Remove the plastic casing of the turbocharger.
3. Disconnect the exhaust pipe from the turbocharger.
4. Remove the support located between the engine and turbocharger.
5. Disconnect the lower oil line from the turbocharger.
6. Loosen the coolant hose clamp and disconnect the coolant hose from the turbocharger. Spread the clamps with wire cutters and replace these clamps with twist-on hose clamps when reassembling.
7. Remove the cross brace between the shock absorber struts.
8. Remove the preheater control device.
9. Remove the brake booster vacuum pump hose and lay it aside.
10. Unscrew and remove the coolant recirculation hose and upper coolant hose with clamps.
11. Remove the air filter housing and remove it from the engine compartment.
12. Remove the intake manifold vent.
13. Remove fastening between branch of a turbocharger and the pipeline leading to a radiator.
14. Unscrew the upper oil line. To have better access to the bolt, unscrew the boost pressure regulator mounting bolt if necessary.
15. Turn off 4 bolts of fastening of a turbocharger to a final collector of the muffler.
16. Remove the turbocharger with the outlet of the compressor from the engine compartment. To do this, carefully drag the compressor between the radiator tank and the vacuum pump.
17. Installation of the turbocharger is carried out in the reverse order of removal. When doing this, do not forget to change the tie-down collars to screw clamps and use new self-locking nuts.
18. Before connecting the upper oil line, pour a little oil into the turbocharger connecting fitting.
19. Start the engine and at idle check all connections for leaks.
Note. Recommendation: To ensure the necessary lubrication of the turbocharger after it has been removed or replaced, use the following tip. Before starting the engine, disconnect the engine switch wire from the high pressure fuel pump and crank the engine for a few seconds with the starter until the oil pressure light on the instrument panel goes out.
