Checking the power supply system for leaks (Renault 19)

If there is a smell of fuel or signs of fuel leakage where the car is parked, then some hose or element of the fuel system is leaking. To determine the location of the leak, you need to park the car overnight in a dry, clean place.

1. Fuel stains under the car?

2. If not, turn on the engine and let it run for a few minutes.

3. After stopping the engine, check for fuel stains under the car.

4. If there is nothing, then inspect all fuel lines and hoses, as well as all elements of the fuel system. In doing so, look for damp places with a characteristic smell of fuel.
