Removal water from the fuel filter (Renault 19)

1. Attach a suitable hose to the water drain bolt fitting located at the bottom of the filter (for example, an air hose for an aquarium). Place the other end of the hose into the receiving container.

2. Loosen the fuel line leading to the high pressure fuel pump (HPFP) or the air bleed bolt in the filter housing.

3. Loosen the water drain bolt until water starts to flow out.

4. Drain the water until clean fuel flows out (about 100 cm³).

5. Tighten the water drain screw and remove the hose.

6. Re-tighten the fuel line connection to the filter housing, tighten the air bleed bolt by hand (if it exists).

7. Pour the contents of the receiving container into the canister with the used oil.
