Blowing out the air filter element (Renault 19)

The Renault 19 operating instructions prescribe replacing the air filter for cars with a petrol engine after one oil change, i.e. every 20,000 km, and for diesel - after two oil changes, i.e. every 22,500 km. In addition, the paper filter element must be blown out with compressed air at least once a year. If you drive on country roads, you should carry out this operation after 5,000 km.

1. Remove the filter element from the filter housing.

2. Knock the paper filter on a hard surface.

3. Blow it out with compressed air.

4. Direct the air flow from the filter outward.

5. Do not wash the air filter with liquid. This will clog its pores.
