Removing
Note. To facilitate unscrewing the nuts of the turbocharger-to-exhaust manifold stud bolts, spray a penetrating compound onto the still-hot nuts immediately before removing the turbocharger.
Disconnect the battery. Remove the engine top cover. Operating in the engine compartment:
Remove:
- vacuum receiver 1;
- solenoid valve 2 of the engine stop system.
Activities under the car

Remove:
- two bolts for fastening pipeline 5 for draining oil from the turbocharger to the engine;
- Loosen the bottom nut securing the turbocharger to the exhaust manifold.
Disconnect the hose connected to the boost pressure control valve.
Remove:
- connections and fastening bolt 6 of the turbocharger oil supply line;
- both air inlets and outlets. going to the turbocharger;

Installation
The turbocharger is installed in the reverse order of removal.
Attention! Be sure to replace the copper gasket on the oil inlet to the turbocharger.
Note. Before starting the engine, disconnect the pressure regulator connector on the injection pump.
Then operate the starter for a few seconds until the oil pressure warning light goes out.
Connect the regulator connector, turn on the starting heater and start the engine.
Let the engine idle and check for leaks from the turbocharger oil line fittings.
Repair any leaks found and check the boost pressure sensor and solenoid valve.
Precautionary measures
When installing, make sure that foreign objects do not get into the turbine or compressor.
If the compressor malfunctions, make sure the air-to-air cooler is not filled with oil. In this case, remove the cooler, wash it with a cleaner, and drain the cleaner thoroughly.
Make sure that the oil return lines are not partially or completely clogged due to carbon deposits. Make sure the pipeline is tight. Otherwise, replace it.
