Removal
Note: To make it easier to loosen the stud nuts that secure the turbocharger to the exhaust manifold, spray penetrating compound onto the still hot nuts immediately before removing the turbocharger.
Disconnect the battery. Remove the top engine cover. When working in the engine compartment:

Remove:
- vacuum receiver 1;
- electromagnetic valve 2 of the engine stop system.
Actions under the vehicle

Remove:
- engine sump protection;
- 3 mounting spacer;
- nuts 4 studs fastening the catalytic converter to the turbocharger and move aside the pipes of the exhaust system.

Remove:
- two bolts securing pipeline 5 for draining oil from the turbocharger to the engine;
- unscrew the lower nut securing the turbocharger to the exhaust manifold.
Disconnect the hose connected to the boost pressure limiting valve.
Remove:
- connections and mounting bolt 6 of the turbocharger oil supply line;
- both air inlet and outlet pipes leading to the turbocharger;
- two nuts for the upper mounting of the turbocharger to the exhaust manifold;
- turbocharger (by the top part).
Installation
The turbocharger is installed in the reverse order of removal.
Caution! Be sure to replace the copper sealing gasket on the turbocharger oil supply nipple.
Note: Before starting the engine, disconnect the pressure regulator connector on the high-pressure fuel pump.
After this, turn on the starter for a few seconds until the oil pressure warning light goes out.
Connect the regulator connector, turn on the starting heater and start the engine.
Let the engine idle and check for leaks at the turbocharger oil line fittings.
Repair any leaks found and check the boost pressure sensor and solenoid valve.
Precautionary measures
When installing, ensure that no foreign objects enter the turbine or compressor.
If the compressor does not operate normally, make sure that the air-to-air cooler is not filled with oil. In this case, remove the cooler, wash it with a cleaner, and drain the cleaner thoroughly.
Make sure that the oil return lines are not partially or completely blocked due to carbon deposits. Make sure that the line is tight. If not, replace it.
