Cleaning up computer memory
If you press and hold button 2 in this position, the computer memory will be completely cleared of the recorded data.
Display mode control
By short pressing the button 2, the following information will be sequentially displayed on the display:
- A) estimated cruising range for fuel remaining in the tank;
- b) average vehicle speed;
- c) the amount of fuel used;
- d) average fuel consumption;
- e) current fuel consumption;
- f) distance traveled.
When the ignition is turned on, the information that was on it at the time the ignition was turned off is displayed on the computer display.
Explanation of the indications on the computer display
Estimated range based on fuel remaining in the tank (km)
The range calculation takes into account the average fuel consumption since the last time the computer memory was cleared. The reading is shown on the display after the vehicle has traveled 400 m.
Average vehicle speed (km/h)
The average speed is calculated since the last time the computer's memory was cleared. The average speed value is displayed after the vehicle has traveled 400 m.
The amount of fuel used is taken into account since the last procedure for clearing the computer's memory.
Average fuel consumption (l/100 km)
The average fuel consumption is calculated since the last time the computer memory was cleared. The value of the average fuel consumption is displayed after the car has traveled 400 m and takes into account the distance traveled, the time and the amount of fuel consumed since the last time the computer memory was cleared.
Current fuel consumption (l/100 km)
The current fuel consumption is shown on the display after the vehicle reaches a speed of 25 km/h.
Distance traveled (km)
The distance traveled is taken into account since the last time the computer's memory was cleared.
Attention! Automatic cleaning of computer memory. If one of the memory cells is full, the computer's memory will be automatically cleared.
Flashing display. Consult a Renault Dealership.
Interpretation of some data displayed on a computer display
The route data displayed on the trip computer display during the first kilometers after clearing the memory should be interpreted as follows.
The greater the distance traveled since the last memory clearing procedure, the more stable and reliable the average speed, average fuel consumption and fuel range readings will be. During the first few kilometers after clearing the computer's memory, you may notice the following.
Fuel range increases with mileage. This is normal, as the average fuel consumption may decrease in the following cases:
- car stopped accelerating (and consequently, the current fuel consumption has decreased);
- engine temperature has reached normal (and clearing the computer's memory occurred when the engine was cold);
- when you left the city on the freeway.

Emergency light signaling
When button 3 is pressed, all four direction indicators are turned on simultaneously.
Turning on the alarm is necessary to warn other road users that:
- you were forced to stop for any objective reasons in a prohibited place;
- a situation has arisen in which it is necessary, in accordance with the rules of the road, to turn on emergency lights.
Direction indicators
To switch on the direction indicators, turn the multifunction lever 1 in a plane parallel to the steering wheel rim in the direction you intend to turn.
Note: When changing lanes on motorways, the steering wheel does not always turn enough to automatically return lever 1 to neutral. The mechanism for turning on the direction indicators has intermediate positions in which the lever is not fixed and must be held by the driver during maneuvering on the road (e.g. when changing lanes). When released, the lever will return to its original position automatically.
