Vehicles equipped with a single remote control lock
Your vehicle is protected from unauthorized use by anyone who does not have the appropriate remote control.
When the door locks are unlocked using the remote control, the infrared coded signal is identified by the vehicle's receiver. If the signal is successfully identified, the engine can be started.
When the ignition is switched on, indicator lamp 1 on the instrument panel lights up for a few seconds and then goes out. This is a sign that the signal code has been identified and the engine can be started. After locking the doors with the remote control, it is not possible to start the engine even if the key is inserted into the ignition. In this case, indicator lamp 1 will flash continuously.
Attention! The car will be automatically protected from theft by the engine immobilizer.
The activation of the anti-theft system is indicated by the flashing indicator lamp 1.
To start the engine, you must lock and then unlock the doors using the remote control.

Control lamp 1 has two functions.
Anti-theft system activation indication
After turning off the ignition and locking the single lock with the remote control, the indicator lamp starts flashing continuously. This indicates that the anti-theft system is activated.
Anti-theft system deactivation indication
After unlocking the single lock with the remote control and turning on the ignition, the indicator lamp 1 switches to the constant on mode and lights for a few seconds, then goes out. After this, it becomes possible to start the engine.
Anti-theft alarm system malfunction indicator light

Flashing of control lamp 2 while the vehicle is moving, when slowing down or when the engine is idling indicates a malfunction of the anti-theft system.
Diesel Engine Cars
If control lamp 2 lights up while the vehicle is moving, the anti-theft system is faulty.
In all cases of malfunction of the anti-theft system, it is necessary to contact a Renault service station, since qualified personnel are required to repair this system.
Exceptional circumstances
In case of power failure (battery discharge, fuse blown, etc.) it is necessary to unlock the single lock using the remote control in order to start the engine.
Starting the engine at low ambient temperatures (below -20°C)
To make starting the engine easier, it is recommended to turn on the ignition for a few seconds before engaging the starter.
If the remote control for the single lock fails, use the spare remote control that you received when you purchased the car.
If you do not have a spare remote control, you should definitely contact a Renault service station or service station, since this is the only place where you can get qualified assistance in repairing the anti-theft system.
After the necessary check, you will be given a code that will allow you to disable the anti-theft system and start the engine.

The anti-theft system is automatically activated a few seconds after the key is removed from the ignition.
When the ignition is switched on, indicator lamp 1, located on the instrument panel, lights up for a few seconds and then goes out.
This is an indication that the ignition key code has been identified and the engine can be started.
If the ignition key code is not identified by the anti-theft system, the control lamp 1 starts to flash continuously. In this case, the engine cannot be started.

Anti-theft system activation indication
A few seconds after the ignition is switched off, the control lamp 1 starts to flash continuously. This indicates that the anti-theft system is activated.
Caution! The anti-theft system will not be activated until the ignition key is removed from the lock.
Anti-theft system deactivation indication
After the ignition is switched on, the control lamp 1 switches to the constant on mode and lights for about three seconds, then goes out. After this, it becomes possible to start the engine.

If after turning on the ignition, the indicator lamp 1 continues to flash or remains lit, the anti-theft system is faulty.
Flashing of control lamp 2 while the vehicle is moving, when slowing down or when the engine is idling indicates a malfunction of the anti-theft system.
Engine Immobilizer Code Entry Procedure
If the control unit needs to be replaced, contact your Renault representative who will provide you with the four-digit code required to activate the anti-theft system.
The entered code is reset if the ignition key is in the Off position for more than 10 minutes.
The order of entering the code:
1. Turn on the ignition.

2. Press and hold button 1. Indicator lamp 2 will light and start flashing.
3. Press the button as many times as the first digit of the code indicates. The first digit of the code will be entered as soon as you stop pressing the button.
4. To enter the remaining three digits of the code, repeat the operations of paragraphs 2 and 3.
After entering the last digit of the code, and if the system has recognized the code as correct, the engine can be started. If you restart the engine within 10 minutes after switching off, the control lamp 2 will light for a few seconds, go out and light again for about 30 seconds. This means that the system is ready for operation.
If the wrong code is entered, lamp 2 starts flashing and the engine cannot be started.
If the code is entered and the engine does not start, reset the code by turning off the ignition and try again.
You have three attempts to enter the code. You must wait 15 minutes before entering the code again.
