Cars equipped with a single lock with remote control
Your vehicle is protected from unauthorized use by anyone who does not have the appropriate remote control.
When unlocking the door locks using the remote control, the infrared coded signal is identified by the car's receiver. If the signal is successfully identified, the engine can be started.
When the ignition is switched on, the control lamp 1, located on the dashboard, lights up for a few seconds and then goes out. This is an indication that the signal code has been identified and the engine can be started. After locking the doors with the remote control, the engine cannot be started even if the key is inserted in the ignition switch. In this case, the control lamp 1 will flash continuously.
Attention! The car will be automatically protected from theft by the engine immobilizer.
The flashing control lamp 1 indicates the activation of the anti-theft system.
To start the engine, lock and then unlock the doors using the remote control.
Control lamps of the anti-theft system (immobilizer)
The control lamp 1 performs two functions.
Indication of the inclusion of the anti-theft system
After turning off the ignition and locking a single lock using the remote control, the control lamp starts to flash constantly. This indicates the activation of the anti-theft system.
Indication of disabling the anti-theft system
After unlocking a single lock using the remote control and turning on the ignition, the control lamp 1 goes into the permanent on mode and burns for a few seconds, then goes out. After that, it becomes possible to start the engine.
Control lamp of malfunction of anticreeping system
Cars with a gasoline engine
The flashing of the control lamp 2 while the vehicle is moving when the engine is slowing down or idling indicates a malfunction of the anti-theft system.
Diesel vehicles
If the control lamp 2 lights up while driving, the anti-theft system is faulty.
In all cases of malfunction of the anti-theft system, it is imperative to contact a Renault service station, since qualified personnel are required to repair this system.
Exceptional Circumstances
In the event of a power failure (low battery, blown fuse, etc.) it is necessary to unlock the single lock with the remote control in order to start the engine.
Starting the engine at low ambient temperatures (below -20°С)
To facilitate starting the engine, it is recommended to turn on the ignition for a few seconds before turning on the starter.
If the single lock remote control fails, use the spare remote control that you received when you bought the car.
If there is no spare remote control, be sure to contact a service station or a Renault service station, since only there you can get qualified assistance in repairing the anti-theft system.
After the necessary verification, you will be given a code that will allow you to disable the anti-theft system and start the engine.
Attention! When replacing the remote control, it is necessary to initialize the system (receiver in the car and two remote controls) at a Renault workshop.
A maximum of two remote controls can be used for each car.
Constantly monitor the condition of the electric batteries of the remote control. The battery life is about two years.
Cars not equipped with a single lock with remote control
Your vehicle is protected from unauthorized use by anyone who does not have an appropriate ignition key with a coded device.
The anti-theft system automatically turns on a few seconds after the key is removed from the ignition.
When the ignition is switched on, the control lamp 1, located on the dashboard, lights up for a few seconds and then goes out.
This is an indication that the ignition key code has been identified and the engine can be started.
If the ignition key code is not identified by the anti-theft system, the control lamp 1 flashes continuously. In this case, the engine cannot be started.

Indication of the inclusion of the anti-theft system
A few seconds after the ignition is switched off, the control lamp 1 starts flashing continuously. This indicates the activation of the anti-theft system.
Attention! The anti-theft system does not turn on until the ignition key is removed from the lock.
Indication of disabling the anti-theft system
After the ignition is switched on, the control lamp 1 goes into permanent on mode and lights up for about three seconds, then goes out. After that, it becomes possible to start the engine.
Control lamp of malfunction of anticreeping system
Cars with a gasoline engine
If, after switching on the ignition, the control lamp 1 continues to flash or stay on, the anti-theft system is faulty.
The flashing of the control lamp 2 while the vehicle is moving when the engine is slowing down or idling indicates a malfunction of the anti-theft system.
Engine Immobilizer Code Entry Procedure
If the control unit has been replaced, contact a Renault representative who will provide you with the four-digit code required to activate the anti-theft system.
The entered code is reset if the ignition key is in the Off position for more than 10 minutes.
Code entry order:
1. Turn on the ignition.
2. Press and hold button 1. Indicator lamp 2 will light up and start flashing.
3. Press the button as many times as the first digit of the code indicates. The first digit of the code will be entered as soon as you stop pressing the button.
4. To enter the remaining three digits of the code, repeat the operations of paragraphs 2 and 3.
After entering the last digit of the code, and if the system recognizes the code as correct, the engine can be started. If you restart the engine within 10 min. after switching off, the control lamp 2 will light up for a few seconds, go out and light up again for about 30 seconds. This means that the system is ready to work.
If an incorrect code is entered, lamp 2 starts flashing and the engine cannot be started.
If the code is entered and the engine does not start, reset the code by turning off the ignition and try again.
You are given three attempts to enter the code. You must wait 15 minutes before entering the code again.
