Removal and installation the rear bumper (Renault Megane 1)

Removal

1. Open the trunk lid/tailgate, then remove the three or six upper bumper mounting screws (depending on the model) (refer to the accompanying illustration).



2. Remove the screws securing the rear wheel arch liners to the ends of the bumper (refer to the accompanying illustration).



3a. Unscrew the side bumper mounting bolts.

3b. Loosen the central bumper mounting bolts, noting the correct position of the brackets on the central bolts (refer to the illustrations).



4. With the help of an assistant, carefully release the ends of the bumper and remove it from the car (refer to the accompanying illustration).

Installation

1. Perform installation in reverse order.
