Before removing the driven clutch disc, check
- Correct installation of the clutch slave disc.
Before installing the clutch, check
- Flywheel surface under the driven clutch disc (no scratches or traces of tarnish).
- Crankshaft main bearing (does not jam).
- Sealing of engine and gearbox seals (replace if necessary).
- Free movement of the driven clutch disc along the primary shaft.
- Guide sleeve and clutch release fork (no wear or scratches).
Caution: To avoid vibration and clutch slippage, do not lubricate the output shaft and the clutch driven disc hub.
During installation, check the following:
- Correct installation of the clutch slave disc.
- Center the clutch driven disc using the tool (Emb. 1780).
- Tighten the clutch housing mounting bolts evenly to the specified torque.
After installation check
- Free play of the clutch pedal (for vehicles with cable drive).
- Bleeding air from the hydraulic system (for vehicles with hydraulic clutch drive).
