1. Open the trunk lid.
2. Remove the two screws securing the lock to the cover panel...
3. ...move the lock down...
4. ...disconnect the switch rod from the lock lever and remove the lock.
5. Install the lock in the reverse order of removal.
6. Mark the position of the latch trim relative to the body so as not to disturb the adjustment of the lock, and, having unscrewed the latch mounting screw, remove it.
7. Install the latch in the reverse order of removal, aligning the previously applied marks.
Note: If necessary, adjust the locking strength of the trunk lid by moving the lock latch relative to the body panel. After making the adjustment, tighten the latch mounting screw.
