1. Open the trunk lid and place it on a suitable support or have an assistant support it.

2. Remove both trunk lid springs (see "Replacing the trunk lid springs").
Note: If you are removing the trunk lid for purposes other than replacement, we recommend marking the position of the hinges relative to the lid (for example, by tracing them along the outline with a felt-tip pen).

3. Remove the four bolts securing the hinges to the trunk lid (two on the left and right loop)...

4. ...and remove the cover.
Note: To avoid damaging the paintwork, remove the trunk lid with an assistant.
5. Install the trunk lid in the reverse order of removal, using the previously applied marks as a guide.
