Tightening torques:
- Switch mounting bolt - 10 Nm
- Lever mounting nut - 10 Nm
Removing
- disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery;
- set the selector lever to the position «D»;
- remove the intake air duct;

- remove the engine wiring harness mounting bracket 1;
- disconnect the selector cable pivot from the multifunction switch lever;
- remove the lever and turn out two bolts of fastening of the switch;

- remove the three bolts securing the modular jack bracket on top of the box (Figure 4.46);

- check wiring from switch to modular jack (see Figure 4.39) and disconnect the 12-pin connector from the block. Remove the switch from the gearbox housing.
Settings and position adjustment
- connect the contact connector to the switch and screw in the bolts of its bracket;
- set the switch to position «D»;
- install the switch on the gearbox housing and hand-tighten the two bolts of its fastening;
- attach the tip of the selector cable to the switch lever;
- having previously set the selector lever and the switch to the position «N», connect an ohmmeter between the two test leads on the side of the switch;
- turn the switch housing until the terminals close (zero on an ohmmeter). While holding the switch in this position, tighten the mounting bolts;
Attention! Make sure there is zero resistance between the control terminals of the switch.
- install the intake duct and connect the battery;
- make sure that the starter can only be engaged in the positions of the selector lever «R» or «N».
Check the correspondence of the included gear and the indicator readings.
